Got an Android phone or the new iPhone 5S/C? Pioneer has launched a new line of Multimedia receivers that will allow connectivity with it to your car!
Pioneer Electronics has expanded its Multimedia receiver lineup with four new models to further weave connectivity into the driving experience. The latest models of the Multimedia receivers deliver smartphone connectivity, supporting the latest Android platforms as well as Apple’s latest iPhones, including the 5S and 5C! It will also work on phones operating on iOS7.
These new models are also Pioneer’s first multimedia receivers to provide USB compatibility with selected Android smartphones, providing users the ultimate convenience of plug-and-play features. Drivers and passengers with the latest smartphone devices can also look forward to an even more seamless and connected in-car experience with the newly introduced integrated steering wheel control function. The Multimedia receiver series is now joined by the following four models:

Previously known as Advanced App Mode, Pioneer has extended the boundaries of today’s connected lifestyle with AppRadio Mode, empowering drivers with control of their compatible iPhone® smartphones directly from the dashboard. Delivering seamless connectivity and ease of use, AppRadio Mode provides drivers compatibility with a myriad of applications to enhance every journey and make every car a connected car.
Bringing connectivity one step closer, the new range of Multimedia receivers now allows for customized steering wheel control, without the fuss of installing additional accessories. Drivers get to control certain functions and features directly from the steering wheel, and can even configure the buttons to specific functions of their preference. With easy configuration steps, drivers can easily play a music track, adjust the volume levels, skip the track, or even make a phone call directly via the steering wheel.
The newly launched Multimedia receivers continue to boast functional features that make them easy and convenient to use. With Bluetooth® connectivity, users will be able to enjoy the luxury of hands-free calling and stream high-quality audio wirelessly through their receivers. All new models launched also come with MIXTRAX, a Pioneer technology which creates a unique nonstop listening experience by seamlessly transitioning between songs with DJ-inspired effects such as cross-fading, high-pass filter, and phaser, allowing users to turn any car into a roving cool club.
