Fifty lucky fans of Torque magazine and Kia Singapore's Facebook pages had the opportunity to put the new Kia Forte K3 through its paces at the Singapore Turf Club.
Three weeks prior to its official launch, Torque magazine and Kia Singapore collaborated to reward fifty lucky fans with the opportunity to play road-tester and experience the new Kia Forte K3 for half a day.
The participants were split into groups and took the Forte K3 through three segments – Product Immersion, Handling, and Urban Drive.
In Product Immersion, trainers were on hand to introduce the many features of the Forte K3, after which participants were able to examine and experience these features for themselves up close.
In the Handling segment, participants took the cars through a slalom course, allowing them to compare stability, body roll and steering feel alongside a couple of competitor models. It was also a chance for them to try out the Forte K3’s new Flex Steering, a function that allows drivers to alter the weight of the steering via a button on the wheel.
In Urban Drive, participants took the Forte K3 onto the public roads around Kranji, taking in a mix of expressway and smaller roads, allowing them to test the car’s ride comfort and refinement. They were also reminded to use the ventilated seats (a first-in-class feature of Forte K3) to cool their seats in our hot weather.
"The objective of having this event was to showcase how the all new Kia Forte K3 is simply unrivalled in terms of design, features and drive. Not many distributors will let their customers testdrive competitors' models, but we did. This shows how confident we are of the Forte K3, and we are glad, though not surprised, that participants all agreed that Forte K3 is simply unrivalled," said Mr Alvyn Ang, Operations Director of Cycle & Carriage Kia Pte Ltd.
